I love on the target shot at the end that you hear the round hit the target before you hear the report of the gun. =)

@SSgt24thMEU For deer I would use the Hornady 129 gr SST and it is a great whitetail round. Inside of 400 yards it will put them down hard with good shot placement. The Barnes 120 gr TTSX is a good bullet for the longer shots with a Grendel.

@MrSurgicalPrecision I also see that you are using Sierra bullets, so that would make a huge difference. How is it on deer? I need a shorter range deer rifle, since I've been using my .300 Win Mag, but at crazy distances.
so you recomend 6.5 grendel over 6.8 spc? cus im thinking either one just to use for target shooting for fun!!

@WoWoWeeMo Both are good rounds, the 6.5 Grendel will just get you a lot farther. Up close they're about equal.

why the hell hasnt our military switched to this round. this round and a piston system solves our problems

@marinenick100 Just my opinion here, but there are a few issues to work out with this round before it would ever be fit for duty as a service round, mainly reliable magazines. The piston system is yet to be perfected for AR type rifles as well. I've seen a lot of catastrophic failures of pistons from top tier manufacturers. I find it interesting that no 3 gun competitor (to my knowledge) runs a piston AR. I think there is a lot of promise however in this round and piston systems.
