$200 to fill an SUV? Is there something wrong with that? You don't need an SUV if you live in the suburbs. Even a mid-sized car can hold little Johny's football gear.
Go electric for automobiles (Google "Tesla Motors" "Whego" and "Coda") and trains.

yes we can do something . Like lift the sanctions of IRAN and allow companies to pump that oil out ! or maybe open up more refineries in alaska alberta tar sands , or start drilling new welsl in gulf of mexico , or maybe invest in russian oil industry with its massive un tapped oil reserves ect...ect...ect...ect...

this could happen any time - any major disruption in production and delivery will send oil shooting up .....

@wafflepiepancake no eco friendly energy, to make a solar panel you dig up metals and silver , etc and ship it by train to ship yard then to truck to process plant in China. then back on truck then on boat to usa then by truck to shop then a guy picks it up and installs in in your house. More energy is used from fuel than all the energy the solar panel will take in in its 30yr life span.
