This is my 69 Buick Special Deluxe (which is actually pretty hard to find now-a-days. They're mostly Skylarks and GSs now) I got a little over a week ago. Got it for $2500. Its in fantastic condition for being non-restored for 41 years. Got a 250ci Chevy Straight-6 (the smallest engine you could get on the car at the time) and a 3 speed stick on the tree. I love this car so much!

  • U know it probably has 117,XXX miles on it not 17, grand my grandpa has a 63 chevy impala with 400,909mi on it and it says it has 909mi on it because it doesn't have the 6 number on it like most older cars

  • @apn818 I actually know that it was 17,300. The person I bought it from knew the family that had it. He said it mostly sat in their driveway and din't get driven a lot. Also the driver seat and pedals would be a LOT more worn if it was 117,000...

  • @snowman4839 those can be replaced really easily and the motor looks really dirty to be 17,000 trust me. my uncle and i have an restoration shop. i can tell if a motor has alot of miles on it

  • @apn818 Well I WORK at a restoration shop and I can tell if a motor has miles on it too. My dad has had 5 or 6 of these cars in his lifetime and he also also says that it's not rolled over. The reason the engine is dirty is because its 42 years old and it's a car engine... They usually get pretty dirty fyi... also the pedals would've been worn flat or damn-near falling apart when they were actually pretty nice, just a little dry-rotted. It's 17,000, not 117,000...

  • What great car you have there .... you are off to a real good start. Keep us posted

  • Man im im only 14 and i cant begin to tell ya how jellous i am, i'd die if my dad helped me get one of these. Enjoy er now and maybe you can restore her to original :)

  • Beautiful car. PLEASE take care of it.

  • Nothing like your first car. you have a rare car--as you know--but the car has tons of potential if you have the money and time to do so. If not drive it till the wheels fall off.My first car was a 66'Belvedere with a 318 4bbl. Now before anyone gets excited-lol-the car sat for 2years, nothing special about it.Engine had high miles.. Paint was faded, rusty, but I got it for $50. Those days it was easy to pick up transportation cheap. Drove the shit out of it. Lots of luck with yours.

  • @Stevespeeze ha. I got rid of my chrome dishes and traded em to the guy I bought it from for the original wheel and hubcaps. But I decided to go with the rally rims like on the GSs and some skylarks
