The unfortunate truth is that the ultra wealthy elite & big multinational corporations that they own in fact completely control and own both the "left" and the "right" - it is called "divide and conquer" and in America it has been achieved by means of media/academic control and the implementation of "necessary illusions" that act as mass mind control mechanisms. Corporations (and their owners) are inherently conservative. How they present themselves is another matter entirely.

@vanillacrab Yuri was an Orthodox Christian and attended at a Catholic Parish with his wife. Sorry, but no banana for you this time. The social control and civilizational binding aspect of religion is only the lowest aspect of it. Freedom was never a civilizational basis ever in the history of mankind. Any society is exclusive by definition. If there is not a common set of rules anymore, i.e. total freedom, society is atomized to disagreeing individuals, becomes disfunctional and crumbles.
