1st point: no, most of the children can't think for themselves, when they're brought up being told from the age of 0 that a certain belief is true they will believe in it the same way they believe in actual truths they experience and observe during their first years.
2nd point: not even worth commenting it, he agrees with RD and yes, there's millions of christians who though read the bible they don't obey many things the book says.As Bill Maher said: "You're not a follower, you're just a fan!"

I think the presenter is reading his own anger into Dawkins' words. Has the presenter seen the videos of Dawkins reading his hate mail from Christians such as "I hope you get run over by a church van and die"? Atheists are tired of being bullied by the superstitious. They are tired of them trying to smuggle their superstitious beliefs into laws that govern us all. They are exasperated by them proudly proclaiming their willful ignorance as though it was a virtue.

Right or wrong, many may draw comfort from belief in a benevolent force or forces that know/s the true them fully and well - particularly where they are subject to the unjust actions and opinions or others. Which is probably why the thought of there being no God is not as attractive as some may think.

To paraphrase Hitchens: It is not so much anger as it is impatience. In an age where there is so much to learn and discover, it diminishes all of us that so many are scientifically illiterate and prepared to stop thinking and asking new questions. The progress of our sorry species ends when we are satisfied with simplistic mythology and naive explanations. Does it hurt so much to think? It's not an unfair attack on religion. It points out some of the most obvious examples out of the other hundreds of atrocious things that are there for the picking. Richard Dawkins gives us knowledge, and the biases his books have are because religion is just stupid to very core. "Christianity is the most perverted system to have ever shone upon man." -Thomas Jefferson.
You sir, are indeed an amateur. You make a video about a man who seeks to assist and brighten the future generations.
