@VictrolaJazz You're telling me! Not PC is an understatement... I have Bloodshot Eyes by Wynonie Harris... on 78rpm and 45 (the 78 actually sounds better) and there's plenty of offensive stuff on that one too. Also Who Threw the Whiskey in the Well... gottta love 'em!

@HarborGuy Thanks! I've also posted one by Gene Rodemich's Orchestra, so check it out too!

OMG- Didn't think I'd ever hear this one again, my aunt (now long tone) used to sing parts of this one..........I have never head a recording of it before........Great, fun post.

@EdisonSquirrel Nope--it'll remain deep-sixed!

ARGH! spousal abuse! abort abort! Is that a muted trumpet I hear before the vocal begins? Great song, very cute... got to take these things with a grain of salt, and also remember the era it's from eh?

@75capriceconvertible The 20's was not a PC era at all--in fact, in many songs there is something to offend almost anyone. The muted trumpet sounds like it's cursing!

So un-PC! But that's why it's fun, and an absolutely lovely arrangement and performance. It kind of reminds me of something Spike Jones would do, like "Never Hit your Grandma with a Shovel"

@TheUnbreakableOtaku Thanks! I've understood Spike Jones (born in 1911) was tremendously influenced by the madcap music of the 20's and especially the Six Jumping Jacks which he emulates very closely in his wonderful arrangements in the 40's!
