@ATACXGYM oh yeah, a lot of people think that the flying arm bar was part of the Kodokan, there are historical facts stating that one of the founders of Sambo (who was actually the first ever westerner to get a Kodokan Judo black belt) created this move when he came back to Russia., this was in early 1930's. I don't know if that's true or not but many Sambo players claim that the flying arm bar is their invention. But yes, Sambo has influenced Judo big time and is a growing part of MMA.

@pcjudosambo I've known of sambo for years, and I remember when Oleg first competed in the UFC.I have great respect for sambo and sambo's been a mainstay of MMA and serious grappling enthusiasts for more than a decade now.I'm also aware of the great shock that Russian sambo players made in the Judo world when they first entered with their unorthodox grips and throws; they permanently changed international judo for the better, imo.

@ATACXGYM In MMA nope, but it's a typical Sambo leg lock that you see on every single Sambo tournament. That's why he said that he relied on his JJ/Sambo for this fight. Sambo is beginning to gain momentum due to their slick leg locks that even many Black Belt BJJ guys are incorporating into their game. Just take a look at Sambo master Oleg Taktrarov, he has 6 leg lock submissions and 5 of the submissions came by knee bar, which is a basic Sambo submission learned at early stage.

@kladen100 Nice slick kneebar! We don't see that technique done and executed correctly for the tap often.

Rhadi is so analytical; even after a decisive and important win like his Strikeforce debut,he immediately focuses on the things that he needs to improve first, while being cognizant of and confident in his strengths. And he does this without coming off as the least bit arrogant
