This is the third song on the Alaska album cd by Between the Buried and Me called Corkies and Boatshoes.
Here are the lyrics to the song:

Croakies
Boatshoes
Collars up
Daddy's money increased my social status
"Dang, my loafer got smudged"
We are the suburban elite
"Hey where y'all wanna meet?"

I've got something to fucking prove man
I've really gotten something to prove
Dude...brah...lets go party tonight
Maybe start another goddamn fight
But its alright, my coach knows the sheriff

Don't stare

At my car
At my shirt
At my girl

  • Probably the worst song on Alaska, but the album is phenomenal so Croakies and Boatshoes is still a great song.

  • I will have to agree with you on that one. This is my least favorite song on the CD probably, but it doesn't ruin the CD at all.

  • The nice thing about Alaska is that it displays that BTBAM creates a dichotomy of beauty and brutality.

  • Well put. I love how some of the songs sound really heavy and then they turn it into a beautiful song.

I'll be uploading all of the other albums later by the way.

  • This song is about rick jock assholes. Pretty self-explanatory.

  • @Enigma02011 I think this was the best song (Well, besides Selkies and The Primer obviously). I wish they'd show their Death Metal influences more instead of hiding them. I find his Death Metal growls are much better than his dry Hardcore barks. Plus I don't have much patience for long songs haha!

  • This has to be my 3rd favorite song on Alaska, right behind Backwards Marathon and Selkies... Short, to the point, and heavy as shit. Also, hilarious. Collars up, gentlemen, collars up...

  • I'm pretty sure this song is a satire song, kind of a joke at the current metal music industry, it's sound, and it's focus on mainstream ideals such as clothes, women, and over all bro-like attitude.

  • Good shit right here, haters stop hating, it's a good song.

  • I don't see why people say this is their least favorite song on the album. It's on of my favorites to be honest, of any of their albums.

  • This is one of my favorite songs off this album. Croakies, Boatshoes, collars up.

  • I have heard Alaska over 20, 000 times, and I just love how this song is no where close to any of the other songs on the album.

  • Corkies and boatshoes? i like this song! its got a nice groove in it! plus its good for strictly metal.

  • haha this song reminds me of the kids at my school douche bags. btbam never dissapoints. new album the parallax hypersleep dialoges out apr 12th pre order it!!
