JAN 1 2009 Oakland police shoot a man in the back for no reason ( he was unarmed )

Oscar Grant 22 years old was shoot by bart Transit officer in the back. Diffrent camera angles, and copwatch chimes in on shooting.

A cop that cant tell the difference between a tazer and handgun has no business being a cop. Also being surrounded by noisy people does not give the right to kill. I dont give a shit if they refused commands. The cops work for the people not the other way around. Also its clear in the video that the cops were not man handled by the crowd or even interfered with other than loud commotion.

The bottom line is this, no matter the circumstances the cop fucked up.

@defiythelie He was unarmed, but they had no way to know that because he had not been searched yet. He was resisting, and very successfully, or do you think they were wrestling with him for fun as 9-10 people were encroaching on them and dozens on the train were becoming increasingly hostile?

@ssn708 He was surrounded by cops and on the ground. It has been reported that the cop that shot him meant to pull out and shoot him with a tazer but drew from the wrong hip and and drew his gun instead. If you can believe that.

Resisting arrest does not warrant murder.

@defiythelie I agree he cop fucked up. I'll go one further and say it was criminally negligent and absolutely he deserves prison time. But it is a proven fact, not some baseless story that he intended to and thought he was deploying, his taser. There is plenty of proof of his intention, and nothing to suggest otherwise other than ignorance and hatred of police. I can understand this jump to a conclusion since there are plenty of abuses, and even police murders. This just wasn't one of them.

@defiythelie It is a proven fact that Mehserle intended to tase. He was surrounded by cops who were surrounded by dozens of increasingly hostile people on the train 8-9 people on the platform who encroached on officers and refused their commands (three of whom assaulted officers). Resisting does not warrant murder, but if you think that assaulting 2 officers, refusing their commands, and refusing to give up your hands is not hazardous to your health, you need some form of protective helmet.

thank you for your this video. yeah, some people are trying to make non-sense about Grant not being a perfect guy...well, it really doesn't matter if he was or not. The issue is that if he can be brutally murdered like that with impunity by cops then it can happen to ANY OF US and no one's family will have ANY justice ever. You mentioned Oakland and LA (which I know definitely have problems) but I have lived all over the county & this is happening too much everywhere !
