We teach our students how to lag and compress the golf ball. In this sequence I am demonstrating a low, punch, cut driver followed by a "stock" iron shot.

  • the biggest key is to always move the hands and NOT the clubhead. Keep the hands moving and the clubhead will catch up. Most people stop the hands, quitting, and the clubhead then gets to the ball before the hands.

  • @chuckevans Is it possible to pass on the tips you sent to George on getting a great transition move? Thanks in advance!

  • @blpmd3 You may want to contact George and see if he still has his copy of the emails we sent back and forth...I don't. But basically, the "secret" is to keep the hands moving and NOT throw the clubhead at the ball!

  • Incredible demo of lag.I can feel the lag just by watching the transition to the downswing.Any tips on how to get such a great transition from back and then down.

Thanks - I have The CE E Book on hard drive.
