Paul Moss documentary on world champion BeatBoxer King Home Boy. guest appearances from Captain Imon Star, (Olmecha Supreme) Jinetero MC ( reggaeton specialist), Hannah Howes, Ed Jupiter, Bet, more.. and with visuals by vj Chaoslab (Cameron Mckechnie). Dunno if this fits the bill but it is a bit experimental as I learn to flex my creative muscle, perhaps a bit gunghoo and raw, certainly FRESH... The quality should be ok, Ive rendered down to 720x576 SD 4:3 as mpg2 with middle vid compression, compressed and equalised the audio somewhat, its all off the HD camera mic and has the odd flaw, and with a couple of short sound fx scenes with panning should make it interesting!
Personally I think its a snapshot on enzed hip-hop culture taking on the world, and winning, so its an historic record that reminds me of a short film i saw in Sydney back in 82 about double-dutch i think it was Malcolm McLaren in New York shooting the skippers, fantastic and at a time where breakdancing was everywhere in the streets in Australia.
a triplet of 3 min short films about King Home Boy breaking the world record beat boxing for 35 hours.. I have this concept of bringing them together as one 10min film called Champion Selectors to include a couple of short scenes from his TV appearances.
