Project Runway, Season 6, Task One

Welcome to the new season of Project Runway. This marks the sixth season and it's time to start fresh and bring some new challenge into the competition.

This season I have selected three new judges to judge with me as well as new tasks, a new concept and a prize this time. This season, we will not go by Project Runway alone, it's Project Runway: Duel On The Runway.

Well let's not waste time and get right down to the specifics for this season. So this season will feature a brand new elimination process. At the beginning of each week, the judges will message you and you must select a contestant's name that you would like to see in the bottom two.

Strategy comes into play as you need to pick wisely and always try your hardest this season because you can't be certain you will be safe unless you are the task winner. So, here's how it works, once the judges have selected the task winner for the results, their choice will be sent to elimination. But the catch is, the person who is in the bottom two will bring his/her choice to the bottom two.

From then on, we will decide who stays and who goes home. So don't be so sure that you're safe just because you had a good entry, only the task winner is safe. As the weeks move on, the choices will get harder and harder, so make sure to do your best every week.

This season will feature brand new tasks. New tasks that have not been done before, tasks that will make you pull your hair out, some that will challenge you, and even some that may shock you. But also remember, that you may be working with your enemy, so be prepared for the unexpected.

Now the prizes this season will include the opportunity to be a judge next season, media of your choice, provided by the judges and etc.

Now let's get onto your first task. The first task is located below.

Task One - "Kasha" Remake Week

That's right folks, we're kicking this season off with a bang. This week you will be recreating an old video made by Matt of Kasha Media. We the judges have already selected the eleven videos and have given you each a video to work with. This task will require some creative thinking. Don't just play it safe and make it exactly like the original, add some flare, make it new and fresh, but don't change it too much.

The task is due Friday, May 7th. Due to the different time zones, the entry needs to be in by 12:00 PM (Eastern) Friday in my time zone. I will not be picky if your an hour or two later, but the entry needs to be in no later than Saturday, or it will not count.

Please upload all your entries to 4shared. I ask that you upload at 4shared only because the judges cannot download all the entries, so 4shared allows the judges to watch and comment rather than downloading all of them.
