Japan's food restrictins are the strickest in the world. Japan is the most developed nation in the field of radiation health risk management. Thanks Mr. Kahl. Panicking doest not contribute to the solution and settelment of the seriious problems caused by the earthquake and tsunami. I wish you will see HIs Majesty's video addressed to the nationn.

@Yetanotherytuser if Generation III reactors can be fully insured.. can they?
-
The government standards were reported to have been raised by multiples of 4 to 20, depending on age, food source/ water - to quell hysteria of the inevitable meltdown.
Be safe.
-
@blattmacher You don't understand what a Generation III reactor is, right?
A Generation III reactor has passive security, which means that it requires NO electricity for it too cool down (which is exactly the problem these reactors had).
And also, you are no realist.
Wind and water sources cannot ever replace nuclear energy for one single reason: energy production is almost a joke. If wind and water were the answers to all our problems everyone would be using them... they are not.
-
@Yetanotherytuser ??? they can build modern reactors with no meltdowns possible. Japan has wind and water sources that can be used for energy. They should be creative now because another "big one" with a nuklear meltdown and Japan is history.

@TheDanielKahl UNBELIEVABLE STATEMENT! Who is on the propaganda side? You! Are you still buying all that? Or do you have to sell it? I can name corrupt politicians in Germany. Some are just losing their jobs via elections today. You are the one in Japan so it should be your responsability to name the corrupt japanese ones. What you do is hide them behind the "humanitarian disaster". QUESTION: are you getting payed for that?
-
@blattmacher "For profit"?, I'm sorry, there is a real need for electricity, and in fact those Generation II reactors weren't replaced in the first place for Generation III reactors, because the nuclear scare after Chernobyl happened, when everyone stopped constructing new reactors, leaving everyone with the old, risky reactors.
In fact, now that the scare had dropped there were plans for reactors 7 & 8 to replace old ones... but guess what?? After this, they are not going to build them :D

I agree! too many people are in panic about radiated water. People are talking like the radiation level is as if atomic bomb is dropped!
Thank you Daniel! You again said what I wanted to say!
I wonder, Daniel, at what stage you will begin to talk about the damage, the causes and those who are responsible. Fukushima was to be turned off many years ago. Like in many countries, these old nukeplants just keep on running longer simply for profit reasons. This is only possible because of corrupt politicians who risk peoples lives by giving their permission, also for profit.

@blattmacher Yes, there are many things to learn from this incident, I agree. I'm sure the experts will be studying everything that went wrong here for decades. All I'm saying is don't over-hype the situation. Your comment on "corrupt politicians" is a case in point. Name him, please. You're repeating propaganda you heard in some political science class back in college. This is not helpful. We've got a humanitarian disaster on our hands here.
