The song's title "2+2=5" recalls the symbol of unreality from George Orwell's novel Nineteen Eighty-Four (1984). In the book, inhabitants of an authoritarian future state are made to engage in doublethink, replacing their own conscience and beliefs with those imposed from above. At the end of the novel, the protagonist's individuality is demolished, as he avows that two and two are, in fact, five.
Wow! this is amazing. I can't believe it only has 258 views?

@VitaVeritasVictoria1 Share it then! I'll never take credit for it, but it is a pretty freakin' brilliant little piece of art that fits well with the premise of the song. Someone shared it with me, or I'd have never unearthed it. The unmixed version of this album blows EMI's release away, if you're lucky enough to find it.

@simplelife88393 It is pretty brilliant. I cannot take credit for it, however; it's a repost, because the original disappeared. The creativity in the video's excellent, of course, as is its original presentation of the song's concept. But the ringer is the unmixed version of the song, which I do like better than the EMI release.
