Why use a Cisco router when there are lots of less expensive and easier-to-configure routers out there on the market? My experience with Cisco is that it's very difficult to get them to do anything (because of the cryptic interface) and even people who are supposed to know how to get them to work aren't really sure how to get them to work. Cisco and WatchGuard are items I like to replace whenever I encounter them.

what the exactly ip adress to the pc3? is it 74.125.20.10 or 74.125.20.100 When the configuration going on to the route0:
-route0(config)# ip dhcp excluded - address 10.10.10.1 10.10.10.10

I will becoming to watch more of your video. But I am confuse on how did you come up 74.128.20.100? Which host that has that address? Is that the address that you want the outsider to access? Please explain if you can. I understand everything about this tutorial 90%. But I just don't understand on how you set up the NAT? How do I get the public ip address? Is there away to set it up on our own?

Exactly just what I needed, thanks a lot.

and heey you forget to config the interfaces
router(config-if)#ip nat inside
router(config-if)#ip nat outside
did you forget that or it doesn't matter on this case .. you explain plzzzzz

what about dhcp?
what is the need for the router2-outside?
would nat have worked on just the first router ?

@dodo3tt NAT would have worked anyway. However, my design show a more real word setup where in the RFC1918 address (private) would not be on the same router that the request is coming from.

@nphil9786
quick question though, does NAT only work on the pre-set routers? as opposed to the "empty" routers
DigitalWaste333 1 year ago
@DigitalWaste333 NAT will work on any Router with the correct IOS loaded
