Gameboy VGA video output to monitor

I've been thinking of doing this for a long time but just haven't had the time or funds to put it together. The results are pretty good tetris looks pretty good as do most of the original gameboy games. Thought it would be a fun experiment with a few mind scratching moments. Apologies for the bad camera, the movement on the screen isn't blurry as the video makes out. Music is just JS Bach prelude in C major in ableton with a couple of VSTs.

nice project. but for practicality just get an emulator.

@videochemist Cheers, yeah you could use an emulator but the idea was to use the original hardware. It's mostly for people who make chiptune where they tend to use the original hardware. I thought you could either use it to compose on the gameboy or carry out a set live or possibly make some VJ program for the gameboy. Although it was still mainly done because I wanted to give it a go, pushing old hardware and learning about video signal production in the process is all fun.

I went to a gig a little while ago where they used a DS in a few songs. It was an interesting mix of sound. Come to think of it, I shot a few videos of that, so I should really stop being lazy and upload it...
