if you are reffering to the 91 red mr2 stock front rims. I suggest you research before you post. the 1990-92 turbo and n/a mr2's came with 14 inch rims. only 93-95 came with 15 inch rims along with a redone suspension. and the ones used in this video are 14's sir.

I bought an MR2 Rev 5 about 6 months ago and I read in the manual that reving it over 4,000RPM will cause "severe engine wear". Is this true? Surely these cars can handle it?

On a well kept and maintained mr2 yes you can rev up to red line, just dont keep it there. this is not a honda with v-tec. for "spirited driving" just make sure you shift smoothly before te rev limiter and not keep the needle pegged at redline and you should be fine. the manual is always very conservative on the limits of the car.
