7 September 2009, 1147h, Osaka Railway Station, Osaka, Japan. This is the scene of Twilight Express hauled by EF81 44 entering Osaka Station.

The EF81 electric locomotive would be used up to Aomori Signal Station, where it would be replaced with an ED79 electric locomotive (as well as change direction); subsequently the ED79 would be replaced with a pair of DD51 diesel locomotives (and change direction again) at Goryokaku (Hakodate).
