  • @BoredomCorner LOL banking regulations, in theory and in practice, are responsible for causing monetary inflation, which in turn usually causes price inflation, and are the very cause of booms and busts in the economy. Without centralizing banking, this doesn't happen. Yes, our monetary policy has been executed with more discretion than in the United States, but that isn't saying very much. We could have escaped the recession altogether if the free market determined our interest rates.

  • There was an election two years after this happened, and I think Canadians decided which party had the better idea.

  • @levanyzzuf hah, you're nothing but a plug, the liberals i feel like are hte only party that DO put Canadians first. Yet they get butchered in the media more than any other party for not doing so. The NDP and the Conservatives are the most selfish, self-serving, self-rightous people I have ever seen. Yet the liberals get owned the MOST every day. The whole situation is a complete ironic flip.

  • @universalradio good call. The NDP pretty much thinks, "if anyone disagrees with us it must be for the lowest possible reason. When you find the lowest possible motive their quarreling with us then it must be the right one." it's a very sick mentality

  • @somewhatlongdong dude, te NDP are soo friggin dishonest! They make these unfair accusations and create these allusions and its all just bs.

So a liberal decides to conditionally support the government on one issue. Big deal. Maybe the conservatives actually had something good to offer. But no, the NDP thinks "if it comes from another party then it cant be trusted. We wont support anyone thats not one of us". It's disgusting.

  • the NDP are bigots, they're ALMOST as dangerous as the Conservatives

  • Go Tom!

  • Judy Sgro is a bitch

  • @levanyzzuf Well when did Paul Martin pass those banking regulations, that cushioned us from the recession?

  • I wouldn't want to be working with/for Mulcair. No thanks.
