Oh come on... You guys must have changing tastes in music, right? In Middle School, I listened to Cradle of Filth and Iron Maiden, as a freshman, I listened to Avenged Sevenfold and Three Days Grace. As a senior, I listened to Muse, Opeth, and Third Eye Blind. Now I jam to Goo Goo Dolls, Lit, and other 90s.
It seems like they went from Punk to Alternative. It's who they are, and it's what they do. And they do it great. I jam Superstar Carwash and Dizzy Up the Girl. The 'Dolls just rock. Period.

Very well put. It is rare to see someone as yourself posting as you have, especially when 99.9 % of the people are never going to put their pride aside, and see things for what they are from a bird's eye, not just front row. I'd always envisioned the last concert they do, going through all the albums and putting on the show of their lives. And I'd hope to be there to see it as well.

@john11311 I have to admit it hurts every new album they put out, and every new concert I see. They look bored and trapped. Buffalo 2004 in the rain is, I think, the last real rock concert they played. I agree with Rzeznik, fuck off if you don't like his music--that's why I wish he would play his music--the old shit they makes your ears bleed. All bands go down, but hopefully the GGD will make one last stand and rock out. And hopefully I'll be there to see it.

And what sense is that supposed to make? In order to sell out you have to do the following: 1) do something you don't want to do and 2) be paid very handsomely for doing it.They sold out, its plain and simple. The Goo Goo Dolls want to rock, that is what they have always been about. Their ballads have always been great, and Name means more to me than anyone else but the band. Its the principle and acknowledgement, that the band all but directly admits to selling out.
