If Jesus was a Pharisee, as you claim here, then what would he have had to do to make you conclude that he was not a Pharisee? What acts or words would serve as proof, if not those already printed in the NT?
Seeing as how he rejected the tradition of the elders (Mark 7:5-7), and it was adherence to these traditions that is the essence of Phariseeism/proto-Rabbinic Judaism, you seem determined to rewrite history.

Great info Bro.

Yeah. Other people remedy that by cutting out all of the dead space and working from a script.
All that editing doesn't work on my buggy Windows Movie Maker and I lose the sincerity in my delivery when I work off a script.

OK, it took five or six times. I lost count. Now I think I'm ready for the next lesson.

"For you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free."
I've been hoping you'd continue on with this series (and yes, I've watched four videos of yours on early church rabbinic relations and all).
Are there others I've missed - will you be making more?

@4trahasis, I have been teaching this online and someone has been recording it. It should be up on the UTOM(dot)org website in a few days. look for it there. Peace K.K.

Thanks for the lecture.
Was there a first "official" rabbi, or was the evolution of the rabbi a slow progression along with the oral traditions? How did the role of the rabbi differ from that of the high priest?
Thanks!

@vcdsomc , The short answer to your question is yes, the first "Ordained" Rabbi was Yonathan Ben Zakkai (C.70-90CE), for all intents and purposes, he was the father of Rabbinical Judaism.

I'm reading Josephus at the moment. He talks about the 'Presidents' of the Sanhedrin, but is unclear about the hierarchy. My list is...
1 - Ezra
2 - Zerubbabel
3 - Joshua
4 - Nehemia
5 - Seriah
6 - Mordecai
any comments welcomed please

Most likely the Nasi (President) was a HaGadol (High Priest). I am not sure what you mean by "Hierarchy" Except for the Nasi, there was the "Av Beit Din" (supreme Judge) like a Chief Justice in our Supreme court. Other than that they each had equal voting rights. Hope I was helpful.
John.
