Leon Russell - I'll Be There If You Ever Want Me

Here is one from one of my favorite rockers of the '70's Leon Russell. He is also a pretty good country singer. This one is from the 1984 album Hank Wilson's Back! Volume 2 . I will post more of these if you all like this one. I also have the Vol.1 from 1973 although it is not in real good shape and Vol. 3 from 1998.
I think this song was written by Hank Locklin.
Leon will be inducted into The 2011 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH for "Music Excellence". I must say it is about time.
He also had a number 1 country hit in 1979 with Willie Nelson "Heart Break Hotel

thanks for the post! absolutely YES, post every one of the songs from the Hank series if you'd like. I've got ALL of his records and he's in my top 5 musicians/songwriters/artists of all time. Glad he's finally getting his credit in the RnR Hall - I only wish it was a full induction, but I'll settle...
