can i use the alesis io2 insted of the presonus firebox?

I don't know much about the io2. If it acts as a sound card, then yes.

I'll have to check it out.

Thanks Mikey for answering my question. This vpt vlog stuff is cool. I am real close to making a move with getting a RET kit and a vpt package. I just sold my acoustic kit on ebay. I just have to figure out what configuration i want to go with.

Ha! This is good. I really like that Via hand-grip. There is a second part to this? Or can I not count to 5? :-)

Question for next time: What are the strengths of the drum software you've used? I would really like to know what applications I can use these VPT packages.
