I joined the National Guard to protect my loved ones...all of our oaths and creeds and values and everything we stand for is to protect our country and our civilians especially. I would have to say it would be circumstantial cuz if a group of gangsters went around killing people then i would say they are enemies of the states and would gladly fire on them...but killing people just because of the simple fact i was ordered too...it will never happen...

Brother I believe it ! From my personal experience they are building up for something ! The people in the Mich Nat Guard have this same mindset ! Ive SEEN IT,HEARD IT ! NO,IM (NOT) military but a contractor and I have worked for them ! I couldnt believe what I seen and AGAIN (HEARD) ! Just a bunch of kids willing and wanting to do nasty shit against civilians ! They have dumped about 60+mill$s into a local guard camp ! And for what? O they have a beautiful EPW now ! America ? YA RIGHT ! ITS OVER

This happened........not
I've seen a few claiming to be military say they would gladly shoot Occupy Wall Street protesters. It's easy to say you wouldn't shoot an unarmed civilian. What if it were a revolution? What if your commanders gave you false information to convince you to fire on Americans who were doing the right thing in fighting the government? What if you disagreed with the protesters or revolutionaries position?
Fact is there's plenty of troops who would kill Americans.

@TheGrave thank you
my unit knows where i stand. when i enlisted i said for foreign and domestic. when it comes to trying to tell me and my brothers in arms i will gladly remove my rank and lay down my weapon. i would never fire upon a US citizen that i am sworn to protect

@CenterNews
I just got out in July and I was an MP. Each post/fort has individual agreement with counties. Like at Fort Campbell where I was stationed in Kentucky. Christian County jail housed a lot of Soldiers that were awaiting trials. Being situated at a County Jail falls back on the BN CDR. A simple phone call to the PMO asking where he can place Soldiers until their trial for whatever they are in violation of, they will simply refer them to a county jail.
