The fight for the last great mountain in America's Appalachian heartland pits the mining giant that wants to explode it to extract the coal within, against the community fighting to preserve the mountain and build a wind farm on its ridges instead. THE LAST MOUNTAIN highlights a battle for the future of energy that affects us all.

ive lived around coal all my life. glad to see somebody is finally speaking up about it (with a voice loud enough to be heard that is). no surprise its a Kennedy. the Kennedy's have done a lot of good for this country.

all the stuff mentioned here is stuff that i already knew though.

i hope you can put a stop to it. somebody needs to.

this video really moved me...makes you think about how much we humans take advantage of, and what we are doing to our own kind.

What the fuck are you doing. Turn off caps lock, make some sense and maybe put it where it might matter. Not the youtube video of a trailer for a 100% ANTI MTR documentary.

The major problem with America is that we Americans have let this happen.

Money has been the key to our decisions, instead of doing the 'right' thing.

The average person is complacent in going to their job, collecting a paycheck and going home.

But where is 'home?' Home is everywhere. It is the planet we live on.

    There are alternatives.

Not now later down the road attitude has to be stopped.

Turn on your television and see the commercials about energy?

But the commercials always say that coal is "clean"!

They wouldn't lie to us, would they?

WOW! There ARE alternatives to self-destruction!

The big power bullies really need to catch up to the new future of caring and nurturing this wonderful planet! Either stop blowing up our mountains, polluting our waters and air, or move to Mars, where they should be right at home.

Yeah, you're right. That actually was a stupid question on my part. But I still don't see a problem with it being focused on just the U.S.

Yes, it happens as we speak in Brazil, Venezuela, Thailand and other African, Asian and SouthAmerican countries where the US, UK, Japan, and other countries are paying top money to destroy forests, rivers, mountains and more, to make a buck or two!
