This describes the distance formula for the third dimension; it's easy to derive this formula and it's cool.
Next we have to derive the distance formula for the 4th dimension. Mathematically it would make perfect sense to measure distance in 4D but is there a 4th dimension in real life? That is one of the real beauties of Mathematics, we can construct a mathematical model of a physical phenomenon before we know that it exists, all we have to do next is to gather the physical evidence for its existence.
