The language is Sonrai and the song is paying tribute to his family and asking for their blessings, most especially his sister Ana.
The lyrics also say in part that: "Seeing is better than hearing", referring to those who are lazy and want others to do their work for them.
The original song was not reggae, but he was encouraged to accent the rhythm with that particular beat.
You should try to hear his album called 'Fondo' - its brilliant!

Ilike the feeling of this song, even if I don't know the language. Totally laid back. The rythm of the language works well with the reggae beat.
