This young kid's commentary is so mind numbingly naive. I am actually afraid that there could still be another blind generation of kids that think they can use and abuse the planet....for the love of all that is scarce today...DONT LISTEN TO HIM!!! Recycle, make your govt. accountable, and think before you buy.

All resources are by their very definition scarce. Economics is the study of scarce resources with alternative uses, of which you happen to also be blissfully illiterate.

Economics is NOT the study of scare resources. It is the study of the market system. It is based on the social science that studies the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. I have taken 4 years of economics from a prestigious university...et tu?

But prices DO rise. Prices rise, which means that items are becoming more scarce because the materials to build them are becoming more scarce, and the land used to house the factories to make the goods is becoming more scarce, because there is a finite amount of resources available for us to use.

no actually prices rise because people demand to be payed more for their services. people are greedy. employers are forced to pay their employees more money, and therefore have to raise their prices. most of the time people need to be payed more when the value of the dollar falls, like when the government prints vast quantities of it... like now.

Coming from a developing country and having lived in both the US and Canada, I think Story of Stuff is based on some pretty realistic facts.. so I'm glad a lot of people have watched it.
BUT of course, like anything else, it is always a choice to take or leave the pieces of information that are given to us.

My typing is horrible these days. I guess I shouldn't harp on your spelling if I can't even type properly lol.
