My vision of Low pressure, high volume solar engine.
It is like SunPulse Water pump stirling.
But Sunpulse design is unknown for me.
May be it's design is like mine.
This is NOT a design of a real engine,
It is only a concept of arrangement of
heat exchangers and regenerator.
Proportions of some elements are deliberately
distorted for best visual plainness.
This concept is classic beta.
It can use any drive mex - rombic, crank
or like Philips 1002
Diametr of pistons are much greater than stroke
to collect as much sun as can. Mirrored funnel
helps to do it. This technology is known.
Hot exchanger consist of 2 conical sheets of steel
and 2 sets of fins. Fins can be made of aluminium
or copper to increase heat transport from outer side to inner volume.
Each inner channel have constant free flow
by enlargement to the center.
This is the key moment.
Having the inner conical sheet made from aluminium help us to get a lot area.
For engines from 1 to 2 meters of diameter
the length of channels is about 400...800 mm. This is enough for good heat
transfer
and small temperature drop.
Outer fins (must be black coateted) help
to collect more solar radiation
(like the absolute black body) and protect
hot surface from wind.
The cold exchanger is like to hot.
In his cavity flows cooling water.
Fins are made from aluminium and
welded or riveted to base sheet.
Cooler's channels also have constant free flow.
Regenerator is from coiled wire or steel wool.
In this arrangement for some constant diameter
and swept volume we can obtain these advantages:
1. Any wished exchanger's areas.
2. Any wished exchanger's free flows.
3. Any wished regenerator's volume and FF.
In this arrangement it is hard to increase length
of path of exchangers from about 0.4 of diameter
of pistons (but I think it is useless).
I welcome you all to discusiion.
Thanks for wathing!
@mwhite112393 I agree with you. Thanks.

You could even add a rolling diaphragm to the power piston to shield around the connecting rod arm of the displacer piston for a fully contained and sealed working environment. This can lead to allowing different gasses at different pressure inside the engine, thus boosting efficiency.
