Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know (Acoustic Cover)

Possibly one of the most addictive songs in recent memory and finally Gotye is receiving some well deserved recognition. Great song with such passionate and earnest lyrics.

@dowzaful I just play it the way I hear it. I don't know if it's the 100% right way to play it but I just play what feels right to me. Once I get my lazy ass motivated I'll make a tutorial on how I play the song so maybe subscribe to my channel so you can be notified once I make the video.

Sir, I find it interesting that you did a great cover and so many people have been giving you back handed compliments. Yes I will note that you have an interesting voice, but it's not bad. It would be like saying that Billie Joe Armstrong has a bad voice. His voice makes Green Day sound like green day. If they did a cover of Gotye it wouldn't sound like the original it would be a true cover. I see that as what you've done, and I applaud your musicianship. Keep playing.

@suavemaurice Thanks for your kind words. I realise not everyone likes the way I play it which is fine, you can't make everyone happy, but if people are going to criticise then they should really do it in a fashion that's intelligent and constructive rather than just seeing one negative and using that to base their whole opinion of the song.

If you have the time have a look at some of my other cover versions and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
