Conversation I had with my late Uncle, Frank VanSchyndel, who passed away on June 6th, 2011. He was drafted into the Vietnam War in California in 1963, and resisted before it was the "cool" thing to do. The original draft resistors were mostly communists, socialists and other radical left-wing groups that were demonized by the media. When the masses began to resist, suddenly the media loved them. We also talk about racism and his trip to the Jim Crow South in the early 1960s. Also, the "riots" in Detroit in July, 1967 and labor unions.

I miss my Uncle, wish he was still here and will never, ever forget him. Rest in Peace Uncle Franky.
