My strangest video entry yet into the ScoreHero How Good Can You Sound? Challenge, found here:

http://rockband.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11205&sid=15b42186586...

100% Gold Star performance on Hier Kommt Alex by Die Toten Hosen, as it appears in Rock Band for PlayStation 3.

As per the rules of the challenge the original vocals by Campino (Andreas Frege) are muted and my own microphone is turned up so all you can hear is my voice.

This is by far the hardest video I've yet made. I don't speak or read any German whatsoever, so I had to learn the lyrics phonetically. I will apologize here to anyone who speaks German if I've mangled some of the words.

---

Autotranslated apology to German speakers:

Es tut mir leid, wenn ich Fehler gemacht in diesem Lied singen. Ich spreche kein Deutsch. Bitte verzeihen Sie eventuelle Fehler.

  • hahaha damn too Funny...Die Toten Hosen in Japanisch English...great....Entertainment Factor is Big, even without good German...(im German) greetz^^

  • Haha I'm glad you were entertained. I know it was fun making this video. Trying to learn all the German pronunciations wasn't much fun for me... all those umlauts! :P

  • you do it awesome! i am from germany and i can say to you that you did a very good work on this one.. thumbs up! you sound on that song like a german guy haha ;) keep up the good work

    greetings from germany

  • Danke! :)

  • u gotta great voice. How did u learn how to sing in German?

  • I didn't learn any German at all. What you're hearing here is me just mimicking the original vocals as much as I can. I still missed a few words, like not enough emphasis on "horrorschau" and accidentally saying "blisschen" instead of "bisschen" once. I think I'm saying "ein" wrong too. Should sound more like "Ayn" (as in Ayn Rand) rather than "ehn".

  • Man, I know how difficult German is (I am German) and you did an AWESOME Job on this song. Especially because you don't speak German. You even got the Ä Ö and Üs in this Song which many Americans cannot pronounce. Really great!! You got my respect ;-)
