just a little demonstration of how a CT (computer tomography) is performed. this method uses x-rays, so they cannot put random people in there for demonstration purposes... so a little plush sheep was irradiated / scanned. =)

CTs suck so much. There is like a 1 in 200 chance of developing a fatal cancer as a result. Hopefully the heroic scientists working on better diagnostics will be successful soon!

sure, that's the gantry. it spins around you, taking nice "sliced" pictures of you while you move through. =)
