Please refer to Wikipedia and check your own history.Once you got a big empire, but sadly in 840CE it was overrun by the Kirghiz ppl. Some Uyghur ppl seek refuge in neighoring nations including the Silk Road area of China, now Xinjiang. The original ppl there were Persian tribes since 3000BC and has nothing to do with Uyghurs.
