This is my year 12 film (2008 - Preshil)

A modern adaptation (note adaptation - it is not an exact re-telling) of the 'The Tell-Tale Heart' (1843) by Edgar Allen Poe. The story of one mans murder and the slow revelation of the killers madness.

Dude, nice work on your character. Now I'm both impressed and afraid of him. No offense. I mean you got the personality, you got the expression, the cunning, and the cleverness. Surely, you have modernized the main character and the story and made it into your own twist.

just one problem, i loved this mini-movie, but one thing i would like to have seen: in the story, he was a bit calmer, he would've been twitching and stuff before he broke down, not break down automatically. maybe the heartbeat could get more intense during the questioning at the apartment, on a whole, incredibly well done, love the scenery, which is hard to find with non-pro movies.

Why are people so critical? What is a modern adaptation supposed to be...sitting on a chair reciting the story? I thought this was pretty good. I think my students will connect to it. I guess my comment would be the question of madness. The actor is almost putting it across as an ironic statement and in a mocking manner, but the original story had the man quite insistent and genuine about not being mad.
