My 2007 violin recital performance of Nights In White Satin written by Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues, at Ausiin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN.
@jamesadrian021957 I forgot to mention the strings; they were Thomastik Dominants. I have since swithced to D'Addario Helicores and they sound much better. The violin is a Knilling Bucharest. The one I played in the videos was stolen in a home invasion last year; I replaced it ith another Knilling Bucharest with Perfection Pegs and it has Helicores, too.
@SentaiKoboru I also failed to mention the Canon Z500 camcorder was on a tripod in the upper right balcony midway between the stage and rear wall, which adds to the low sound quality. Also you will notice noise near the camera; that was two bratty kids fighting over a chair near the camcorder and their mother intervening.
@SentaiKoboru I used a Casio CTK-691 keyboard, Cakewalk Sonar 4, a midi file of Nights In White Satin that I downloaded from a midi website, Roxio 9 to record the keyboard digitally, Magix to tweak the recording and to burn it to CD, and finally a Sony CD boombox to play the track; the reason being I was not allowed to have my laptop and keyboard onstage with me to play the midi file "live". On my other videos, it's a laptop and keyboard using Sonar 4 and midi files.
