The reason the media isn't picking up on it is simply because it isn't nearly as funny or entertaining as bush's blunder. and the fact that bush was on live TV didn't help him aswell.

I don't care about either flub but I do like Bush's recovery: "I seem to be trapped." Made me lol. I mean as long as they don't look like complete dorks then who cares?
