  • a favorite favorite poem. bravo...beautifully read. poem was well fitted for movie "tale of a vampire"

  • I think that line is more of a nod to any young lovers. Most great love stories are about people who are in their teens and twenties. He says later on "Of many far wiser than we..." and that kinda makes me think that hes just saying they're both young, not actually children.

But his wife was freakishly young. Lol

  • ...he secretly married his cousin when he was 26 and she was 13, although the certificate of marriage records her age as 21...

  • actually he was 23 and she was 13... i just learned that in school...

  • his wife was actually 12 and he was nineteen sorry i am a huge fan!

  • I think Edgar wrote this about her wife(Virginia) coz.. "I was a child and SHE was a child" that line... saying that Edgar is 20s and Virginia was 15 or 16 not sure...

  • "Chilling and killing my anabell lee" I wounder if this was base on his first wife (virgina) my english teacher (I go to brewer middle) mrs.wilson said it may be. great love story though, hopfuly i can remember it.

  • my favourite poem ever :) edgar allan poe made such a great work, what a pity people don't notice..

  • i loved the story.. even the interpretation.. even though it gave me creeps! it really did.. it was like watching a horror movie.. but its okei.. i love this poem alot..
