Sweet Honey In The Rock singing "Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around." This is the VERY first song that I had ever heard them sing. It's been about 10 years now, and I still enjoy it as if it was Day 1.

I had the great joy and honor of singing this (albeit a bit faster with more hand-clapping) marching with Dr. King in Montgomery, AL on March 24, 25, 1965. I still get goosebumps hearing it today, nearly 46 years later!

The great thing about Dr. King was that he was for the equality and rights of everyone, not just his own race.

I remember this song from a movie we watched in Reading. :) I forget what it was called though!!! Something about a little girl who wants to march, there's a white priest guy who joins the march then is shot later in the movie, there's martin luther king jr. in it? Someone PLEASE tell me thx :)

@CrazyCutesy: The name of the movie you're referring to is called SELMA, LORD, SELMA, featuring Jurnee Smollett and Clifton Powell. I remember when it was first aired on TV years ago. I made sure I stayed up and watched it. Eventually I found it on VHS....and about 2 weeks ago, I found the DVD at WalMart for $5.
