Video of gameplay on a 1995 Gottlieb Waterworld Pinball Machine. This isn't exactly the most sought after machine due to the movie being so-so, but the game itself is pretty fun. I had to fix a bunch of switches and align the optical switches properly on the wave (took *forever*), wrong coil on the dive hole that was causing ball kicker to get stuck in up position due to magnetic field it built up, coil on moving ramp was bad so ordered a new one. Replaced a ton of lights, amazing how many bulbs this machine takes.

Very neat pin with all of the moving parts and challenging when you set it to tournament play so it doesn't just keep handing you balls after you lose them -- I was getting really bored when a ball would drain in the first few minutes and you'd get what seemed like unlimited chances. Now high scores actually mean something when guests are over. I'd have sold the machine if there was no way to have it stop handing out free balls -- it was THAT annoying.

Some people don't like the Deez.. you know what, I think it's rather challenging to sink 4 balls in there every time. And when you do it's a nice reward to have them get dumped all at once and try to keep them in play as long as possible. Anyway, fun game and will definitely be staying for a while =)

  • The pin on the right is WMS Contact. Did my head in trying to work that out although I briefly owned it years ago. (Only cost about 20 euros) I donated it to a pinball museum years ago which is currently closed for massive renovations. I remember it being a nice game.

Nice game on the Waterworld btw. Good playing skills.

  • Thanks, I think that was my high score for a while. The Contact is still sitting amongst other project machines. We were going to work on it but my father had played it at a pinball show and realized it played way too slow due to the slings and everything being moved further out since it's a wide body. Might just get resold as a project lol.

  • Last axction hero to the left is a great game! You own LAH too

  • @Gospodinstrannyj Yep have an LAH right now too -- nice catch!

  • you don't get unlimited chances Gottlieb had that 2 minute min game on alot of games by default.

  • @JoebDragon Yep, I realize it isn't truly "unlimited" chances.. but I saw that some people that gave the game a bad score on IPDB said it was boring cause it was too easy and would continue giving you additional chances. Just wanted to point out that if you put it in tournament play you can stop that from happening. Thanks for pointing out that this is likely a default setup on other Gottlieb machines!

  • @acebh66 Which one do you like more?? LAH or Waterworld? I have played Last Action Hero a lot, and have played Waterworld a couple of times!

  • My Grandpa has this one..I cracked the glass on it..though..so he used Plexi-glass as a repair..

  • Is it just me or does it seem like the ball pretty much stays in the same place on the playfield? It does not seem to be hitting much other then the lower middle open area. I had wanted to get this machine, but now I am not sure....
