I bought one of these and it sounded terrible. Then I listened to other people play it and it sounded terrible. It was a relief to learn it wasn't me, the instrument is just plain awful to hear. There's a reason they went out of style.

Chris plays very well, but it still sounds scratchy and squeaky. It's not his fault. If you want to annoy your children, buy your grandchildren a ukelin.

I just got one at an auction for $45. The bow has not strings. Other than that, it came, complete with tuning tool. I got the biggest kick out of watching you play. Nancy Woodrow

Nice- but I would never call this rare...there are thousands of them out there. Most of them are missing the bows though.
