@Nathanrailfan To keep hundreds of trucks off of the road and cut down on air pollution. One post Panamax containership can carry enough containers to stretch 40 miles if put on chassis' and trucks and placed end to end. Less trucks will be idling while waiting in line to pick up containers at the many container terminals also. I sure would like top see how they will handle a derail in there though.

@nathanrailfan its built because before that corridor was built LA had too many railroad crossings and it was a pain 2 road users.
