  • Jeez you freaks! Stop arguing whether he cheated or not. Dyno is short for dynamic move as opposed to static. It is _very_ clearly not a static move, no matter if he steps on the starting hand hold or not, even the greatest moron shouting "cheater" can grasp this i guess. I suggest you just try it yourself...

  • you do realize dyno is just a short term for a dynamic move...

  • @CDPuffer man it was dynamic

  • i remember when i first time saw this video, i tried this move couple of times couse its awesome....totally failed :/

  • do u people realize that he just pulled a sick ninja move

  • @vaarsuviusprime um no. its used for a move made by jumping from one position to another instead of statically moving to it. nothing in its definition describes or bans the use of stepping on a handhold. the move he did here CLEARLY could not be accomplished static without falling, making it a legitimate dyno, and CLEARLY he "jumped" off the hand hold, also making it a dyno based off of the correct definition of a dyno.

  • @Ripp0r By the logic of the top two comments, an entire speed climb would be a dyno. In general, the term dyno is used for a move made by jumping from one position to another without intermediate steps, such as putting your feet on the handholds.

  • yo ya man is mad tall

  • at least he isn't wearing gloves ;)

  • @Ripp0r while this is true, you can't compare apples to oranges when talking about world records.

  • @CDPuffer I agree, it also sounds a lot better than Dyna..

  • @ilovechlourine so what do you mean? that the other guys could not do that technique?!! the only difference is that he trained that way. and it is very clear that it's in no way a clear measurement of performance when he do that. and whoever takes it as normal, is just a loser who wants advantage instead of training more. or to cover his weak abilities. now if the rules of the competition allows that, fine, then other competitors will start training that way. end of discussion. i won't come back
