@craigmfernandez there are non-biodegradable chemicals in a lot of the detergents that aren't broken down at water treatment plants and seep into the waters and rivers which can cause excessive algee growth, have a negative impact on the aquatic life, and has before contaminated drinking water.
As a civil designer; Stop insulting our intelligence. This ad is an insult to the marvels of 20th century civil engineering. Wastewater gets treated at a water treatment plant before it gets discharged into the rivers and creeks where aquatic life live and then goes back into our dams. This ad absolutley manipulates this truth to buy their product. If this ad were true you would see turtles wrapped in rolls of toilet paper at your local creek and there would be constant outbreaks of cholera.
Ha, ha, ha... if you believe these animals are real and not computer generated, then you haven't been to an alien movie in the past 5 years! I'd bet my entire paycheck those are CGI. So YES I agree it's a very moving and clever ad. And YES I believe a company making an add about taking care of the creatures would use CGI to "create" them. Good stuff!
Not all palm oil is sourced rainforests, there are more sustainable sources of palm oil used in many products.
Earth choice are a member of the RSPO. Go to the RSPO website for more details.
Better still, consider going to your local health food/grocery store and buying cleaning products that are more environmentally friendly and come in refillable containers :)
while this ad may be classed as "clever" there are other ways to get a point across without shocking and disgusting viewers. it show cruelty and torture of animals just to sell some cleaning products that contain palm oil which is obtain from destroying rainforests. from this ad alone i shall never by products from this company.
@alexiscutest Earth Choice Products may be better for the environment in some ways, but not in others. It most likely contains chemicals made from Palm oil which is bad for orangutans. Go to Palm Oil Action Group for more info.
