these guys are the complete opposite of kanye, cats like that look for samples from groups/tracks that nobody's heard of while kayne usually prefers to take something already popular, with a few exceptions of course. kayne def has skills but aint exactly underground
I semi agree..but dont doubt kanye..he def get his work in..listen to some of his old underground joints and u c...its just that kanye music has changed...hip-hop is no longer how it use to be wit crazy hard work to make a record...at least wit more modern producers like kanye
i dont doubt kanye, i usually dont care much for the shit he raps about but i really like some of his tracks. drunk and hot chicks is one of my favorites from him. he has used some music from other countries but he mostly samples directly where if you know the original song youl recognize it. he is a master at bringing new life to an old popular song but to me that is for the masses who think the shit they play on the radio is hip hop. with that said he's not the only great prod. whos done that
word, real talk right there! if anything nowadays its separated the real heads from the fakers. with technology and the industry even more exposed now, fake motherfuckers will just jump on the trend train with their pre-made drum kits and synth libraries and all that gay shit. real heads still go back to the basics and hit them dusty ass dungeons to dig out the heat
sometimes kanye does. but he knows how 2 do it right when he wants to. just listen to run this town. thats an old 70s greek band. i forgot their name. he just took one 2-second riff and KILLED that beat!
