  • @billysue2 good foryou

  • @TKD344 you dont know, you were told it was effective,i know its not because of a background in biomechanics and sports physiology along with 26 yrs in combat sports, mostly full contact ones. Not only have I never failed a grading,I got A grades all the way through and skipped 2 grades(you could do that years ago).I dont hate tkd,I really enjoyed it at the time but it wasnt an effective combat art and the amount of time spent on sine wave and patterns was ridiculous.

  • @billysue2 I am not going to waste time arguing with you on this. I know the sine wave is effective and I do not believe that you have a Black Belt at all. Your comments alone indicate to me that you have trained, but have failed many gardings, so therefore you are taking cheap shots at TKD.

  • If you can handled your body like this guys..I respect you

  • @TKD344 one person in an experiment isnt an experiment at all,so that isnt proof of anything.Biomechanically the sine wave is nonsense and completely impractical even if it was more powerful than hip and shoulder rotation.I was very likely training before you were even born ,I got my black belt in 1988 with the ITF.I strated before the sine wave was introduced and wasted years on it.Gen choi knew nothing about either combat or biomechanics,he was a figurehead only and a dictator at that

  • @billysue2 - I disagree with your comments. I was tested on that and it was proven to me that Sinewave DOES increase power. I attempted to break boards using my strength and technique (without sine wave) and my knuckles were blue and red, and the board was still in perfect condition. On my 3rd attempt this time (using sine wave) I punched through the board like it was Styrofoam. I doubt you even know any martial arts! Lets see a video of YOU demonstrating your martial arts techniques...

  • WOWWWWWWW

  • @bukkake2007 i have a gegree in exercise physiology and a amsters in sports rehab with a very heavy emphasis on biomechanics.I can tell you that the vast majority of techs in tkd are weak biomechanically, especially the punching and sine wave. The kicks are ok since theres no sine wave and are trained as theyre applied .The sine wave is bullshit,it doesnt exist in any sport anywhere because it doesnt increase power and even worse is completely impractical.

  • @bukkake2007 you do know that martial arts are about beating people but as acts of self protection, not initiation.Any effective therapy is all about doing it yourself, nothing is done for you.So now you agree that tkd isnt so effective? With regard to fighting,i and many others woulld argue that real contact fight training is a better character builder than pussy styles if and only if the coach has the right attitude and weeds out pricks(many mma and boxing coaches dont unfortunately)

  • @billysue2

The techniques are waaay biomechanically sound, the side piercing kick is an excellent example of that. The only way to tell whether or not something works is to try it, people have different body types and attitudes so what might work for one person won't necessarily work for another.
