Millions are without a job. If we do have jobs, were not happy with them. And as the economy gets worse, employers can seemingly get away with anything. Hello, longer hours and lower wages. Goodbye, job security and fair treatment!

  • Nobody talks about the office folk, some of whom carefully craft their daily duties to assuage their bosses. Others however, surf the web stealing time, if they chat in the aisles they steal time, if they linger at the confection machine they steal time, are they subject to random drug tests, are they monitored by cameras ?, in most cases all the above are overlooked. A perk in the office is a sweat and blood soaked bargaining right on the .

  • We need to find the happy medium between "ream everyone in the name of the lowest bid" and "protect even the few bona fide bad apples." Setting up a solid set of intelligent rights AND responsibilities is a good first step. I have real hopes for this new attitude towards unionization. Goodness knows, if you treat people like dirt, they will take advantage where they can, but when people take advantage, they give an excuse to employers to treat them like dirt.

  • He probably saw how bad the malingering really was; The excessive breaks and long lunches, the overdeveloped sense of entitlement, the abuse of workers comp. and FMLA benefits.

  • Talk's cheap. I heard promises before from the Boss and I'm sure this one on TV's the same. Without a Union contract to make them keep their word, Boss's have a very short memory.
