  • They should have sent James and the JB'S to Viet Nam at the time. The war would be over in 8 beats and a scream. Everyone would have started dancing right away. He had what you call "it".

  • @Mannchild11 He was in Viet Nam in that time... but the soldiers didn't knew him because they've never heard him before... some of them knew him but they hadn't called him SOUL Brother No.1 but SOLD Brother No.1.. that hurt him very much, he once said.

  • There was a time when there were no samples, no lip synching, no fake rappers, no puffed up mediocre talents. Just real artists, real musicians, bringing unbridled, raw funky soul. There was a time when "JB" did not mean Justin Bieber. JB will always and forever mean only James Brown.

  • my pops used to make me dance to this. the ENERGY in that place. the band never missed a beat

  • U CAN BET.HAVENT SEEN NUTHIN YET......UNTIL U SEEN ME DO..........

  • @jdmoonwalker12 I was actually refering to Prince, but Hendrix was also a master of showmanship so his name wouldn't be so out of place.

  • @bolder2009 Ah yes , how could i forget the two greats, Sammy Davis Jr. and Jimi Hendrix, the latter of which set the groundwork for pretty much every rocker since.

  • @jdmoonwalker12 But between these three show men, a hoofer who was a member of the Rat Pack and a little man strapped with an electric guitar around his neck, you have all that you could hope to see in a live performance.

  • @jdmoonwalker12 Unfortunately we don't have any footage of Jackie Wilson from his concerts in the chitlin circuit, which were legendary. The stuff he did when he performed on TV was nothing like his shows. Those who saw him in his natural environment still regard him as the best they ever saw. MJ was fortunate to see Jackie from the wings at venues like the Apollo and the Regal theatre in Chicago. Berry Gordy said that Jackie Wilson was the bench mark for every artist he signed.

  • @mreev Yes! And it counts 2 or 4 times. lol!!

  • JB IS a BAD MAN.....THAT BAND IS KICKING BUTT....THAT MUSIC JUST MAKES WANNA MOVE

  • Surfy

  • he layed it down for all the white boys to copy and get payed, the master of dance and soul.
