  • thank you so much for uploading this abi, it bought tears to my eyes. it made me very very proud to be from northern cyprus. originally my family r from baf, but now we live in galatya and guzelyurt. i am very very proud to be turkish cypriot. to the people that are complaining about this *mainly greeks* dont watch it, simple. As they said in the video none of us was there so none of us know what really happened. you had to be there to know.

  • @KibrisinSibby You're very welcome abim. I'm glad you enjoyed it. If only more youngsters cared as much as you do about their country.

  • I am a British Born Greek Cypriot, I enjoyed this video as it was nicely made and we never get to hear much from the Turkish side. The video had one really good function. It made me understand how the turkish cypriot people think feel due to what they experienced. I understand why they want to partition, I understand why the north was closed off so many years and I understand why the turks don't have trust to unify. It was a tiny bit bias, but this was the TC's story not the GC's story.

  • @funny1234527 I'm very glad you enjoyed and was enlightened by the video. It's open minded people like yourself who, if incharge, would lead Cyprus into a much brighter future than it is destined for now.

  • just remember that labelling all Greek Cypriots as responsible for events is like labelling all Muslims as terrorists. There were a great deal of innocent Greek Cypriots caught up in this whole mess.

  • @groundphase A very fair point.

  • this "documentary" is biased.I find it incredible how it turned everything around in favor of the Turks as it shows only some certain events that happened by Greek Cypriot extremists in the 60's.No mention of TMT and it's actions on Greek Cypriots,no mention on Taksim,no mention of the second invasion of Cyprus in August '74,no mention of the Napalms dropped by the Turkish Air Force,no mention of the 1,619 missing Greek Cypriots,no mention of the Greek Cypriot refugees

  • Turkish Cypriot. I also know that the implement of the Turkish flag on the mountains by Nicosia is a clear ridicule by the Turkish people to provoke Greek Cypriots. Nevertheless, I do know that wrongdoings were carried out by both sides, who have suffered. Archbishop Makarios was a good man, loved by the Greek Cypriot population. I do not believe that he inflicted the terror. This is my personal opinion, and not all will agree but I would like to commend the directors of the video as it offers

these are not my comments, these are comments from world leaders,so heres another: Bishop Fabri of Vienna (1536–41) claimed that:

"There are no crueller and more audacious villains under the heavens than the Turks who spare no age or sex and mercilessly cut down young and old alike and pluck unripe fruit from the wombs of mothers.

  • @inquestFLASH That was a disgusting and really quite uncalled for comment.

  • 2005 yılında askeri vazifemi acemi birliğim olan kayseride yaptım.Kayseri 1nci komando tugayı hava indirme taburu kuzey kıbrıs'a yaptıkları paraşütle indirmelerini anlatmışlardı.Ben paraşütçü komando olmayı çok isterdim ama nasip değilmiş piyade komandoydum.Ordan tunceliye geçtim.Yani kısacası aziz vatanımızı çok seviyorum.Allah düşmanlarımıza aman vermesin.

  • you know i have to say i love cyprus and cypriot people. I myself am a cypriot from not only the north side, but the south as well, its a shame that even today theres so much hate with these stubborn people who think a war is still going on between our people (greeks and turks) i aint trying to be patriotic here im just saying that greeks and turks should be united within cyprus, both colonies have been living there for so long sides shouldnt matter anymore

  • Russia was the only force who needed Cyprus independent from Greeks and Turkish influence. US didn't want Russia to be involved in this matter so they tried to divide and rule via secret organizations.

  • Second of all you need to realize that it was not the fault of simple people but of forces greater than the both turkish and greek cypriot sides. In contrast to eoka turkish had also put their own organization to instigate trouble among the turkish cypriots. Check the events previously taken place in greece and then check the motive of turkey who seeked the approval of Henry Kissinger to take the land as a payment to their previously lost areas.

  • It is always good to have an all-round perspective on things and know the other side of things. I am a greek cypriot myself and I pay my respect to all those innocent lives. However, you must realize that to be taken seriously some facts need to be made clear. 1st claiming that eoka B was founded by president makarios is ridiculous! Many international documentaries will prove that it is completely untrue.

  • @EBvulves man you guys have to wake up and see what's "really" going on...

  • @cypriotpilot yup

  • @EBvulves you are also telling me now that you are so afraid of us that you require a force of 40,000 troops plus from Turkey just to keep you 180,000 Turkish Cypriot minority safe???
