Mary Ann Mason: Family Values

The workplace in America is not a worker-friendly environment. Long hours, constant pressure, lack of chlid care, ... the list is long. We know the cure; what we lack is the political will. As the first woman Dean of the Graduate School at U.C. Berkeley, Mary Ann Mason used her research, her position and her skills to change the tenure track for faculty and to set a course for American colleges and other working environments.
